This one, two, or three-day workshop for all
levels introduces the fiber technique of ply-splitting. No
looms are required to produce beautiful braids suitable for
neckwear, or shapes which can be manipulated to form
vessels.

This two or three-day workshop for experienced ply-splitters
introduces the method of using weaving drawdowns for
ply-splitting diagrams. Any single-layer weave structure is
suitable for ply-splitting flat pieces such as coasters, mats,
basket bases, neckwear, and belts. Ply-splitting a forty-shaft
design is just as easy as ply-splitting a four-shaft design! |

This two or three-day workshop for experienced ply-splitters
introduces the use of supplementary cords for decorating
ply-split braids and baskets. These embellishment cords float
above or below the surface of a ply-split piece and are
incorporated in the splitting only at the beginning of the piece
and during finishing. Teaching includes instructions for making
an essential cord with a loop at the outend.

In this three-day workshop you will learn how color
sequencing can totally transform the appearance of a weave
structure. Sample weaving will include duets of a weave
structure and its color-and-weave counterpart. Suitable for new
weavers and the experienced, this workshop can be a wonderful
mentoring experience for a guild.
